For more than thirty years, Brendan Nihill has devoted his career to the eyes — and the community — of Franklin Township. A graduate with a degree in ophthalmic science from Raritan Valley Community College, Brendan has spent three decades in the ophthalmic industry, watching the children he has cared for grow up, become parents themselves, and return with children of their own. Though his practice was established in 1996, his roots in eye care run far deeper: thirty years of building clinical expertise and, just as importantly, thirty years of watching the Franklin Township and the surrounding community itself grow.

That commitment to community extends well beyond the store. Brendan has been a proud member of the Franklin Township Lions Club for 25 years and has served on the Franklin Township Bicentennial Committee, contributing his time to the civic life of the town he serves professionally.

One of the questions Brendan hears most often in his practice is one every parent dreads: when a child gets their first pair of glasses for nearsightedness (myopia), “Will it get worse?” For years, the honest answer was almost always yes — as children grow, the eye continues to lengthen, which blurs vision further and drives the prescription stronger with each visit. But that answer has changed. In recent years, a new generation of treatments has been proven to slow the progression of myopia by up to 80%, and Brendan has made it a priority to bring these options to the families of Franklin Township, rather than simply prescribing ever-stronger lenses and waiting for the next appointment.

With a career built on three decades of clinical experience and a lifetime of investment in his community, Brendan Nihill brings both deep expertise and genuine care to every family he treats.

Dr. Sperazza is a therapeutic optometrist specializing in comprehensive and family eye care, contact lenses, and low vision. A 1992 graduate of the SUNY College of Optometry, she completed her residency in geriatric optometry, ocular disease, and low vision at Coler Memorial Hospital in New York. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, the American Optometric Association, and the New York State Optometric Association.

In her practice, Dr. Sperazza focuses on comprehensive refractive and therapeutic eye care, diagnosing and treating diseases of the eye while ensuring every patient receives an accurate, well-fitted prescription for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Her contact lens work spans rigid gas permeable, soft, and astigmatic lenses, and she sees patients of all ages, from children through adults, with a particular focus on serving the visually impaired through low vision care.

Dr. Sperazza currently serves as Director of Low Vision Services at the Jewish Guild for the Blind and supervises a low vision residency program with Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. She has authored three published articles spanning topics from ocular disease to low vision.
